2026 Baltimore County SERGEANT Coaching (2 Sessions)

Sergeant Oral Board Coaching
This coaching program is designed for candidates preparing for the Sergeant promotional oral board or structured interview process. Sergeant-level boards assess a candidate’s readiness to transition from peer to first-line supervisor, with a strong focus on leadership presence, decision-making, communication, accountability, and the ability to manage people and situations in real time.
Participants receive individualized one-on-one coaching focused on practicing and refining responses to common Sergeant-level oral board and scenario-based questions. Coaching emphasizes how to think and speak as a supervisor, clearly articulating actions, priorities, and reasoning in a way that aligns with supervisory expectations and scoring criteria.
Coaching sessions focus on:
- First-line supervisory decision-making and prioritization
- Clear, confident communication under pressure
- Applying policy, direction, and accountability to scenarios
- Structuring oral board responses for clarity and consistency
- Practical feedback to improve confidence and overall performance
This focused coaching experience is designed to help Sergeant candidates avoid common pitfalls, strengthen response structure, and present as prepared, credible supervisors during the promotional process.
